Andy Licht brings more than three decades of leadership and creative experience in film, television, and education. His career reflects a deep understanding of storytelling, collaboration, and managing complex, large-scale projects.

Professional Experience

  • Seasoned film and television producer with over 30 years in the entertainment industry

  • Principal of a Beverly Hills–based production company

  • Served as producer and executive producer on major studio films, including Waterworld, The Cable Guy, and Idle Hands

  • Produced television movies such as Cooking with Love

  • Experienced in navigating complex creative partnerships, budgets, and large-scale production logistics

Education & Mentorship

  • Adjunct professor and mentor at the University of Southern California’s Peter Stark Producing Program

  • Actively contributed to curriculum development and strengthened industry connections for emerging professionals

Civic Service & Community Leadership

Andy has been deeply engaged in public service in Beverly Hills for many years, including roles such as:

  • Cultural Heritage Commissioner, where he currently serves and helps guide preservation and historic issues in the community.

  • Former Chair of the Beverly Hills Planning Commission, with multiple terms overseeing planning and land-use matters and helping shape long-range development and zoning policy.

  • Member and Chair of the Traffic and Parking Commission, working on mobility, infrastructure and quality-of-life issues for residents and businesses.

  • Past service includes work with the Beverly Hills Unified School District Citizens Oversight Committee, School Site Council, and other advisory roles focused on education and community engagement.
